From - the Fairfax Criminal Justice Academy C.O.P.S Kids Program

June 30, 1999

Dear Peter,

Concerns of Police Survivors is especially grateful for the contribution your business gave to making our "COPS Kids" activities at the Fairfax County Criminal Justice Academy on May 14, 1999, such a success. Its always difficult to keep 150 children entertained and well fed, and we certainly would like to let you know how much we appreciate your contribution to that effort.

As you know, the children attending the activities were surviving children of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. During their day at the Fairfax County Criminal Justice Academy, they received grief counseling, talked about the loss of their parent in the line of duty, met many other from across the country who have also lost thier parent in the line of duty, and got to spend good quality time with police officers still working the street.

They need so badly to keep that law enforcement connection that the small amount of time they spend with any police officer is remembered for many, many months to come.

Thanks for letting that happend on May 14, 1999. The event was extremely successful, the children made great friends with other kids from across the country, and you contributed to that tremendous success. On behalf of a grateful organization that represents over 10,000 surviving families of America's fallen law enforcement heros, our thanks for your support.

Sincerly Yours,

Suzie Sawyer
Executive Director

Snow Valley, Bike Tour - May 19th, 2001

June 18, 2001

Dear Peter,

Like Multiple Sclerosis, the weather can be unpredictable, difficult and flare up at inconvenient times. Though the 19th Annual Snow Valley MD 150 Bike Tour was riddled with rain, mud, sunny dispositions and the spirit of camaraderie prevailed. We had and outstanding attendance of over 800 bikers and 300 volunteers participate in the tour.

On behalf of the National Capital Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, I would like to thank you for contributing to the success of the tour. Your support helps to continue the fight to end the devasting effects of Multiple Sclerosis.

Sincerely,

Colleen Martin
Bike Tour Coordinator

From - FACETS - Fairfax County, VA - May 20, 2003

May 20, 2003

Dear Peter,

Thank you for donating your time during FACETS Connections of the Heart Breakfast Benefit event. Your Dee Jay skills and your ability to help us with the Audio Visual (A/V) issues we were experiencing were truly a Godsend. We are so greatful to you for helping us as we sought to reach out to our community - and help the hundreds of homeless children and adults in Fairfax County/Fairfax City who seek our assistance each year.

FACETS is effective because we truly build heart connections with those we serve. No matter what brought people to the position of extreme poverty, they find themselves in, FACETS cares. We find that people have little interest in finding a job or addressing health issues if they are hungry or have no place to live. FACETS social workers focus on addressing these immediate, diginifying needs, then work to eradicate the issues that helped precipate homelessness and poverty.

We also seek to help families living in public housing properties in the county by providing enriching programs and services that expand their horizons. Our adult computer classes, for example, offer participants the opportunity to learn new skills, get a better paying job, and better provide for their families. Our Homework Hotspots, a volunteer driven tutoring program for students, helps children to be competitive in the academic environment. Participants maintain and A/B average and are well one their way to brighter futures.

For 15 years, FACETS has assisted thousands of people in need. With your help, we are ensured that we will help thousands more. We cannot thank you enough for supporting us, Peter, we are sincerely thankful for you. Your kindness and concern for those less fortunate is both admirable and very much appreciated.

FACETS and YOU! - Partners in Caring

With sincere thanks,

Linda D. Wimpey/Executive Director
