My late grandfather, Salvatore Petisi, started me on trumpet at age 4 and my love for music grew from there.
I performed in many school and college productions in the pit band and while in the navy I came back to my college and performed in the Monroe Community College Annual Jazz Festival that featured Count Basie, Clark Terry and Gerry Mulligan to name a few.

I proudly served my country for 11 years, 9 months and 26 days in the United States Navy. I still do so today as a member of the all volunteer, Bugles Across America.
I give my time unselfishly to perform taps for our fallen heros. Starting on May 31st, 2005 and 2006 on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial by the request of the White House Commission on Remembrance, I take my place and play taps precisely at 3:00 PM honoring those who gaves their todays for our tomorrows. |

This is the contingent that performed on Memorial Day 2005. Each individual volunteered their services from Junior ROTC to American Legion Members.
Every member is from Bugles Across America and give their time to play Taps LIVE instead of playing a tape or CD. This is a true example of patriotism and love for our country. |

16 years ago, I started my own disc jockey service after having a terrible experience at my first wedding. The DJ was not the person that my late wife and I had met with, he was late, he seemed unorganized, he had a tacky banner ad across the table for his service, and generally seemed bored with his job. He was a long way from the "entertainment professional" we thought we had hired. I have been involved with music and the theater my entire life and I was certain I could do a much better job of entertaining than our DJ did.
I come from a musical family and had been seriously involved in music since high school and decided to enter music as my profession. After starting trumpet at age 4, it seemed like the natural thing to do. |

I joined the United States Navy in 1981 after successfully auditioning for the United States Navy Band. After completing my studies at the Navy School of Music I was stationed on the island of Guam. There, I gained a wide range of experiences.
I performed with the Navy Band; I also was the Assistant Conductor of the Governors Youth Band, and the Assistant Conductor and first chair trumpet for the Guam Symphony Orchestra as well as playing in the pit band of the local theater company while on Guam. |
